BIBLE COURSES

 
Introduction to the Bible
An historical overview of the canonization of the Bible and the corresponding events in church and world history as the body of Christ grew and matured in the first century.

 

Minor Prophets
A study of the lives and ministries of the Minor Prophets of the Old Testament, and the circumstances under which they prophesied.

 

Major Prophets
A study of the lives and ministries of the Major Prophets of the Old Testament, and the circumstances under which they prophesied.

 

Old Testament Survey
A survey of the Old Testament, with particular attention given to the cultural, historical and geographical background of the text, and to practical applications of major Old Testament themes.
New Testament Survey
 
A survey of the contents of each New Testament book, with particular attention given to the cultural, historical and geographical preparation of the world for the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the impact of the Gospel message in New Testament times.
Pentateuch
A thorough treatment of the first five books of the Bible, including historical beginnings, redemptive themes, and God's dealings with His people as seen in the early history of the nation of Israel. Special attention is given to God's covenants and the importance of the tabernacle and the blood covenant.

 

Synoptic Gospels
A study of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, with particular interest on an exegesis of the Gospel of John.
Biblical Word Studies I
This course provides an overview of the biblical languages and their impact upon the meaning of the text. Emphasis will be on Old Testament Hebrew.

 

Biblical Word Studies II
This course provides an overview of the biblical languages and their impact upon the meaning of the text. Emphasis will be on New Testament Hebrew and Greek.
Religions in America
A thorough study of the religious belief system found among certain major cults and religions in America, to include Jehovah's Witness, Mormonism, New Age and the occult, etc. with practical understanding of such belief systems in order to develop effective evangelistic strategies for reaching the lost among these groups.

True Bible Christianity

           A course of study to enhance and bring to the  student the knowledge of the True Sonship. A study of the five fold Ministry. Revealing Christianity as a faith of Relationship in the Apostle teaching.  

Pauline Epistles
A study of the life and teachings of the Apostle Paul as recorded in Acts and the Pauline Epistles. Each of Paul's letters is surveyed, with attention to similarities of theme, reasons for writing, historical setting, teachings and impartation for ministry.

Activating Spirituality

          A study of the believer's life in Christ, his spirit's man and the force and power activated through faith in the Word of God. Learning the nature of man's spirit, body and soul. Activating the power of God through fasting and prayer.

 

Acts of the Apostles
A study of the triumphant spread of the Gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit from the narrow borders of Judaism into the Gentile world as told by Luke in the Book of Acts.

 

Introduction to Evangelism
A course designed to enhance the student's basic understanding of evangelism and methods of evangelism from a Biblical, theological and historical perspective.

 

 

Methods of Evangelism
A thorough study of historical and contemporary methods of evangelism are presented and evaluated as to their effectiveness.
Discipleship Evangelism
A study designed to develop and direct a discipleship program within the local church. Course instruction includes small group principles.

 

Media Evangelism
A contemporary study of the nature of evangelism and mass media, highlighting specific opportunities, strategies and methods when using mass media for world evangelization.

 

Local Evangelism
A course designed to target the practical evangelistic dimension of the pastoral ministry, to include such areas as preaching, teaching, visitation and community outreach.

 

Social Evangelism
A course designed to enlighten the student to the blessings, goals and challenges of evangelistic outreach in relationship to the needs of suffering and hurting humanity.

 

Apostolic Teaching, Principles and Authority
A practical course designed to deepen the student's understanding of the business operations of a church, including the various methods in which churches are run and their historical roots.

 

 

Leadership Principles
A study of basic concepts of leadership with special emphasis on volunteer leadership. A program for discovering, recruiting, and developing leaders will be surveyed, especially for leadership at the local church level.
Christian Education
A study of the basic principles and practices of organizing, administrating and supervising a balanced program of Christian education within all agencies of the local church.

 

Church Administration
A practical course designed to give the student a working knowledge of the administration of a local church. Students are able to develop and recognize an effective and efficient management team, as principles and practices of ministry are emphasized in areas of personnel management (staff and volunteers), budget planning and implementation.

 

Pastoral Leadership
The course combines and encompasses the abilities of pasturing an independent full gospel church. A broad scope of practical aspects of ministry and the importance of vision in building a local church today are presented.
Pastoral Care
A study on the work of the pastor as the shepherd and caregiver to God's people within the community of faith. Practical applications within this class may encompass hospital visitation, mock weddings, funerals, and baptisms.
Multiple Staff Ministry
Students will review the ministry roles of a church's staff and will seek to understand the basic concepts of human relationships in the context of ministry. Through personality profile tests students will seek a better understanding of their personal development and role as a staff member. Psychological and Scriptural approaches to resolving conflict will be considered.

 

Biblical Leadership - 5 fold Ministry
An in-depth study of Bible-based leadership as reflected in different characters of the Bible. Specific areas covered will include characteristics and qualifications of a leader and practical principles of leadership as seen from the wisdom of the Bible.

 
Homiletics
An introduction to various aspects of sermon design, style and framework using hermeneutics and homiletics to establish framing methods. An overview of various sermon types will provide an understanding of how to build and deliver a message for today's church.
Homiletics 11
A course designed to implement the homiletically instruction received in the Introduction to Preaching course. Various types of sermons are assigned to the student throughout the semester in an attempt to promote the development of individual style. The course consists of three hours of lab on a weekly basis for one semester and is designed for practical in-class sermon delivery.
Church's Planting
A basic study of the theological, sociological and practical dimensions of beginning new churches. The development of a strategy for starting new churches is presented in the areas of evangelism, missions, outreach, leadership training, administration and accountability.
 Christian Ethics
A course designed to help the ministerial student develop Biblical and theological norms with which to make ethical choices. Many case studies are presented as well as a segment on proper social etiquette for the minister.

 

 
THEOLOGY
History of Christianity
An in-depth study of the expansion of the Christian Church from Pentecost to the present, with social attention given to major historical movements and theological issues.
Hermeneutics
A study of the methods and problems of biblical interpretation, which includes, but not be limited to, the topics of presuppositions, historical contexts, grammatical analysis and literary criticism.

 

Bible Doctrines I
An important study of the major elements necessary for an effective prayer life as well as the foundational principles of the Christian faith. The course outlines the characteristics of the five-fold ministry gifts, with practical insights into the ministry of helps and its importance to the body of Christ.
Bible Doctrines II
A continuation study of the major elements necessary for an effective prayer life as well as the foundational principles of the Christian faith. The course outlines the characteristics of the five-fold ministry gifts, with practical insights into the ministry of helps and its importance to the body of Christ.

Eschatology 

A detailed study of the Bible's  prophecies from the scriptures, study of the  book of Revelation in conjunction with the book of Daniel in relation to end time events.
